Ride around Lake Tahoe

High Sierra Cycling will be hosting a ride around Lake Tahoe. This is a Intermediate Road Ride - “No Drop” as we will wait for everyone to regroup at certain points.

If Carpooling-meet at the Starbucks on Mt Rose Hwy at 6:30/7am. We will meet at Preston Park in Incline Village at 7:45. The ride will start at 8-8:15 am. We will proceed to the 1st stop light in Incline Village, go right-another right at the Stop Sign and ride down to Lakeshore Drive. Make a left at the bottom of the hill at the Stop Sign.

We’ll ride Lake Shore Drive til we hit HWY 28. You can go right to head to Spooner or You may take the new bike path that starts directly across the road on the other side-hit the crosswalk to be safe. This path will take you to Sand Harbor and there is a bathroom on the trail. Please watch for pedestrians and other cyclists. If you have not been on this before I would highly recommend checking it out.

We will descend to Zephyr Cove and regroup at the Zephyr Cove Resort. Then proceeding thru South Shore to Camp Richardson and have lunch at their picnic tables. Please bring your own food and beverages. After lunch we will ride on the bike path til it ends and re-group to climb Emerald Bay together.

Plan on meeting at the Visitors Center at the top of Emerald Bay for photos and a short break. We will re-group at the 7-11 on Dollar Hill. Carnelian Bay (5mi)-there is a state park with bathrooms if anyone needs to stop at this point. We plan on stopping in Kings Beach at the park across from the Safeway. We will take a break and then continue to the Finish Line- Preston Park in Incline.

Yea! We Did It!!

You must have your own flat repair kit on your bike (seat bag w/ tube, tire irons, CO2 -Pump, multi tool) Bring extra tubes, tires, Co2/ etc in case you get a flat. Make sure your bike is tuned and ready to roll.

Make sure you have your own Insurance. The Lyndhurst Corporation DBA High Sierra Cycling will not be responsible for any accidents while riding in our events. You must sign a waiver before the ride.
